The Examinations Department is in possession of an adequate amount of paper to conduct the G.C.E. Ordinary Level exams starting from May 23, Examinations Commissioner L. M. D. Dharmasena said.

The 2021 O/L exams will be held from May 23 to June 01 and more than 500,000 students are to sit for the exams at more than 3800 examination centres and 542 regional centres.

“Despite the present crisis period the Ministry is already ready to conduct the examination. Printing work is being carried out and the examinations branch is working full time. We have enough papers to conduct the examination. By May 20-21 question papers will be sent to regional collecting centres,” Mr. Dharmasena said.

Mr. Dharmasena also said the accounts branch is making payments to the examination invigilators of the 2021 G.C.E. A/L exams.

He said dates have been set for the 2022 Advanced Level and Grade 5 Scholarship exams. Accordingly, the 2022 A/L exams will be conducted from October 17 to November 12 and the 2022 Scholarship exam on October 16.
