The Ceylon Sport Fishing Club (CSFC) will again organise its coveted 7th Open West Cost Trolling Competition 2022 at Kinross in Colombo. It is the most sought-after event currently in Sri Lanka’s angling calendar, to be held on March 13, which will be flagged of from Wellawatta. The event will see Sri Lanka’s top Anglers vying for honours in a tightly contested competition.

An array of cash prizes, fishing gear, medals and certificates are on offer at this year’s Troll, with awards on offer for the heaviest fish, the heaviest boat aggregate, the heaviest bill fish, the heaviest giant trevally, heaviest fish by a junior and for boatman prizes. Fellowship and a scrumptious lunch will follow after the usually much awaited awards ceremony. Based on registrations received so far, this year seems to have attracted a record numbers of competitors, with over 20 Boats expected to run the Troll.

This competition will be carried out best on a set of rules, safety and health standards issued by the CSFC, which are in line with international standards. Sponsors for this event includes Red Bull and Nomad Design (Nomad Fishing Lures).
