Asoka Handagama’s “A Death at an Antique Shop” Sinhala play, a social and political critique will go on the board at 3.30 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. on February 19 at Ave Maria Auditorium Negombo.

A powerful story featuring a widower who earlier worked at the museum and now runs his own antique shop and his daughter an undergraduate, the play is a scathing attack on the political, social and religious sections of the country.

The cast of the play includes Saumya Liyanage, Pasan Ranaweera, Nipuni Sharadha and Stefan Thirimanna. Music for the play is by Chinthaka Jayakody, production designer is Bimal Dushmantha, lighting by Anuruddha Mallavarchchi.

Tickets are now available at Samanala Book Shop, Minal Digital Colour Lab Negombo, Coffee Café – Katunayaka and at the Theatre gate. Jude Srimal is the main organizer of this drama.
