US-based analytics company Wisewel – founded by Sri Lankans -, is helping  Sri Lankan companies to successfully expand into  the North American market.

“We are helping Sri Lankan companies get into the international market, specifically the US and Canada,” according to Dananjaya Ranasuriya,
the company’s Executive
Vice President.

Wisewel is a company that is systematic and data driven. Their leadership team has walked the path of the American consumer market and has a vision is to give every Sri Lankan entrepreneur the opportunity to get their product out there in the global market.

He said there is a growing number of Sri Lankan companies which have successfully grabbed the attention of the Sri Lankan consumer and now their attention is to expanding. However, they’re aware that although there are many ways to achieve this, they all present a new set of challenges and risks.

“Organisations who reach out to us are those who accept no boundaries, and they pursue their own paths,” Mr. Ranasuriya said. “They’ve already had this vision, they’ve already dreamt of this, and our company builds the bridge that fulfils their vision”.

He said they are giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to break into the North American market by listing their products directly to the North American consumer. Right now only big companies can do this. “We want to give everybody the opportunity to do it,”
he added.
