A contingent of 10 will represent Sri Lanka at the WTTC Youth Contender Table Tennis Championship 2021 which began in Oman this week. The contingent include eight young players and two coaches with star paddler Senura Silva of Ananda College, leading the team.

He is currently the country’s top ranked player in Men’s Singles.

Others in the team include Lithum Karunasena, Janith Batugedara and Vinuka Gunawardane of Royal College, Senul Rathnayake and Matheesha Wickramanayake of Dharmaraja College, Dewmith Weerasena of Lyceum International and Thisum Gamage of Ananda College.

The team will be managed by Vajira Wickramasinghe, who also acts also as a coach. He is a ITTF Level 1 Course Conductor and ITTF Level 3 Coach. In addition Hasitha Samaraweera will accompany the team as coach.
