The 142nd Battle of the Blues Big Match between Royal College and S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, is expecting a yet another reply from the education and health ministries for the third time, early next week. The Sunday Times reliably learnt from a top official privy to the matter, both the schools’ heads had written to the aforementioned ministries on Friday, a fresh letter, after another letter was sent last week.

The second request, inside a short span, is due to the adjustments made on the duration of the bio-secure bubble, which has been now cut down to a week from the fortnight previously. The plan, however, is to keep Colombo as the host, distancing the original venue of Hambantota.

The dates though, are yet to be announced as the joint committee is looking at the earliest window to work it off.
