Simply local goods from start-ups, cooks and vendors
View(s):Harpo’s Marketplace was launched last Monday offering an array of goods from local start-ups, cooks and vendors, who emerged during the pandemic or before with fresh and hygienically prepared food items.
The store is located at Etul- Kotte at the venue of Harpo’s Pizza and Pasta Restaurant.
“ I’m excited to launch the Marketplace to feature ‘simply local’ products with our own retail range of pizza and fresh pasta range and sauces, while adding new products to our list of infused oils, pickles and expanding to a few more unique items. An important part of my concept is to provide a platform for young start-ups and home cooks to promote their products along with established brands to enjoy the journey together,” Harpo Gooneratne, MD of Harpo’s said.
The Marketplace has chutneys, pickles, cake and cookie mixes, spices, confectionery, a new gelato range and even cane crafts and handmade pottery for the décor-loving shopper.
