Ishara all set for her Arangetram

Ishara Uwini Wickremanayake, a year 11 student of St. Bridget’s Convent, Colombo 7 will present her Bharathanatyam Arangetram on April 18 at the Elphinstone Theatre, Colombo 10, at 5 p.m.

Ishara is a student of well known Bharatha natyam teacher, Nirmala John, founder of  Nirmayanjali Academy of Dance.

Ishara, has been learning this graceful dance form for over 10 years, under the guidance of  her Guru.

The Arangetram will be held under the patronage of Padmini Dahanayake Ariyadasa (Directress of Shri Padma Ranga- Nrithya Nikethan) as Chief  Guest and Rev. Sr. Alexandra Mendis (Colombo Coordinator- Good Shepherd Province- Sri Lanka and Pakistan and former Principal of St. Bridget’s Convent, Colombo 7) as Guest of Honour.

Ishara is the daughter of Hiranjan and Jayani Wickremanayake, and grand-daughter of Malini and Nimal Fernando and Sylvia and Late Major General Duleep Wickremanayake.
