Rotary completes three projects for 2021

The Rotary Club of Colombo Central has completed several of its 2021 projects which includes donation of computers and printers for the use of nearly 200 Sunday schoolchildren from low income families.

In a statement, the club said the project cost Rs 388,000, of which Rs 152,500 was obtained from the District and the balance from the Club and well-wishers.

The project was initiated by Rtn Ratnasoma Silva.

The club together with the Rotaract Club of Jaffna Peninsula also donated pairs of shoes to students of Karainagar Hindu College and Kaively Kanesa Vidyalayam in Puthukudiyiruppu in the Northern Province. The project cost Rs 80,000. Both President Thushy Ganesan and President Elect Abbayan Vinodhan participated.

The club also carried out a project to donate 90 mosquito nets to the children of Nuffield School for the Deaf and Blind at Kaithady, in the Northern Province.
