Paying homage to their teachers,  the Old Boys’ Union of St. Benedict’s College have launched ‘Namadimu’ to honour and show gratitude to those who have dedicated more than half of their life to their students.

The project includes a life insurance cover, a monthly monetary donation, an annual medical checkup and a counselling clinic amongst many more special benefits, for 55 retired teachers who served in both the primary and secondary divisions of the college since 1960.

The blessings received from the Director of the College, Rev. Bro. Dr. Pubudu Rajapakse, towards this project was an immense strength to the Old Boys Union, a press release from the OBU stated. This project was accelerated, thanks to the generous donations received from the Benedictine fraternity both here and abroad.

The project was jointly coordinated by Dharshaka Fernando and Marlon Perera under the  guidance of OBU Hon. General Secretary Priyal Perera. For more further information or to contribute towards this project, email bensobusrilanka@gmail.com, log onto www.bensobu.lk or call Project Chairman Darshaka Fernando 0773-853322 or the OBU Office 2 444 461
