INSEE Cement signs landmark agreement with SEC

INSEE Cement Sri Lanka has signed a landmark agreement with the State Engineering Corporation (SEC) to purchase dolomite, which is used as raw material in the cement manufacturing process.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Parliament premises recently. Under this deal, INSEE Cement will purchase dolomite from a quarry deposit owned and operated by the SEC in Matale.

Nandana Ekanayake, Chairman, INSEE Cement and Ratnasiri Kalupahana, Chairman, SEC signed and exchanged the agreement on behalf of the two organisations.

Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Ekanayake said, “We are committed to building a resilient nation and this agreement is another example of our commitment to help the local industries and communities.”
