‘Tsunami’ makes ripples in Nigeria

Dr. Somaratne Dissanayake’s newest film ‘Tsunami’ has been nominated for several awards at the Byelsa International Film Festival in Yonago, Nigeria. The festival is to kick off on October 21 and in a major feat ‘Tsunam’ has been nominated in seven catagories.

The film was nominated for the Best Director, the Best Producer, the Best cinematography, the Best Actress, the Best Actor, the Best supporting actor and the Best child artiste.

In addition, Himali Sayurangi has been nominated for Bayelsa International Film Festival’s Viewers Choice Award as Best Actress.
