This is the company’s fifth store in Sri Lanka as plans for expansion continue to grow. The latest addition to their portfolio features local and imported products, organic and gourmet food as well as new additions like home goods, electrical appliances, tools, cosmetics and the first-ever wood-fired Harpo’s pizza container truck, right at the entrance. The local and well known Abans brand has also embraced the opportunity to work alongside SPAR and have a small, yet well stocked mobility store, situated right as customers enter the main SPAR supermarket, the company said in a media release.

Wayne Hodson, CEO of SPAR Sri Lanka, said their latest venture is a great place for the family to shop with a wide range of local and imported products as well as the ambience and the exceptional customer service that SPAR is renowned for.

“While SPAR Sri Lanka aims to make you fall in love with grocery shopping, their dedication to sustainability, ethical sourcing and community involvement certainly has the attention of the public and is valued and appreciated by and large across the communities they serve. SPAR supermarkets is thrilled to be in their new home,” the release said.
