Inclement weather in Mullaitivu results in fatal accident
View(s):One person was killed and another critically injured in the Mullaitivu area today afternoon, when a tree collapsed on the motor cycle they were travelling on, a Police spokesperson said.
The tree had collapsed due to the heavy rain and strong winds in the area, at the time of the incident.
The injured person was admitted to the Mullaitivu hospital.
The deceased was identified as James Vijendran, a 33-year-old resident from Kokkuthuduwai in Mullaitivu.
