Jackson Anthony who was invited to talk about the song noted that it is tragedy that there is hardly any discussion about Prof. Suni Ariyaratne who penned the song.

He said that the song would be a historical juncture in Sri Lankan music and cinema as Nanda Malani who didn’t  get a chance to sing to the music of maestro Premasiri Khemadasa after the evergreen ‘Ammawarune’ is here singing to the music of Gayathri Khemadasa, the daughter of the late pioneering musician.

‘It was sad that due to some reason Nanda Malani and Prof. Ariyarante could not be joined the musical journey of Master khemadasa and this was a loss to  Sri Lankan music.

“But that missing link was connected by this song as Nanda Malani, Prof. Ariyaratne and Khemadasa daughter has come to create this song, which is sure to be another hit,” Anthony said.
