Timely initiative for a worthy cause
View(s):At a time where the whole world is facing the consequences of a Pandemic and are asked to being quarantined, we saw that it may not be the easiest life style for many. Specially in a country like Sri Lanka where many people are daily wage earners this Quarantine period is definitely not easy. Even though they may not have the ability to voice out their difficulties, we at the Gavel Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura saw this and decided to take initiative.
This initiative in the form of a CSR project helped collect funds through which we were able to provide basic groceries for over 30 families through an initiative conducted by a well known media corporation and also to help university students who were in need of financial support.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed for the cause, without whom which this initiative would not have been possible.
