Lewis Capaldi launches help scheme

Lewis Capladi has launched a mental help scheme for concert goers. Liveline will help people manage anxiety, panic attacks at shows. Liveline is co founded by Jack Williamson. Meanwhile Calpaldi has written the latest single released by Rita Ora ‘How To Be Lonely’ which came out on 13th March. Lewis sings on backing vocals on the song also plays the guitar on the track.

Genesis reuniting for a tour

The group Genesis is reuniting to go on tour at the end of the year. The group comprising Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford all aged 69, made the announcement on BBC Radio 4 on 4th March. The Last Domino? Tour will take place in November and December. The opening show will be in Dublin, Ireland on 16th November while the closing show will be held on 5th December at the Birmingham Arena in England. The pop rock band was formed in 1967 and took a break in 2007. The drummer Phil Collins came out of retirement in 2015 to undertake a tour, but owing to a problem with his foot he has not been able to play drums. His son Nick came stepped in to play the drums. On the forthcoming Genesis tour, Nick will be the drummer, but Phil is confident he will be able to play a few songs. He also suffers from hearing loss. Genesis has sold over 100 million albums from the eight studio albums the group has released. The band has released 42 singles but none have reached the top of the chart in their home country.  They gained commercial success in the 1980 with ‘Turn It on Again’, ‘Misunderstanding’ and ‘Mama’. The group is widely recognised for their only US chart topping song ‘Invisible Touch’ which has become almost an anthem for Genesis fans.

Doja Cat secures very first UK top 10 hit

Doja Cat secured her very first UK top 10 hit with the song ‘Say So’. The song climbed from 19 to No: 9 after a 10 week chase since debuting at 83. Doja Cat is a US artist who is both a singer and rapper. She carries both genres on the ‘Say So’. The song has a strong 80’s disco feel interpolated with rap. The 24 year old from Los Angeles, US performed her break out hit on the Jimmy Fallon show. Associated with the song is the controversial producer Dr. Luke.

Lady Gaga back with new song

Lady Gaga is back with a new song ‘Stupid Love’ which sees her resume her association with the dance pop/ electropop genres as was in the early days of her career. The song released a week earlier debuted at No: 5 on the UK singles chart. The song is taken from her forthcoming album ‘Chromatica’. ‘Stupid Love’ is Gaga’s 13th UK top 10 hit and also sees her back in the top 10 since ‘Shallow’ with Bradley Cooper in 2018.

Music Walk of Fame launched in Camden

The Music Walk of Fame was launched in the London Borough of Camden early this month. So far three big names of the industry have had their names honoured in stone. The latest being the group Soul II Soul on March 6 as groups founder Jazzie B was unveiling ceremony. Earlier on 2nd March the group Madness had its stone unveiled and on March 04s the late Amy Winehouse was honoured on the walk.
