Thrie Malee Jewellers, with its continual commitment to excellence in jewellery manufacturing and customer service, has become Sri Lanka’s first jeweller to be certified the coveted ISO 9001:2015 standards for Manufacturing and Selling of Gold Jewellery.

The certification.

“Thrie Malee Jewellers was chosen for its high standards in the category of jewellery manufacturing and customer service by an accomplished panel of judges comprising eminent personalities from UK, honouring them for setting high standards for quality, innovation and value. The certification is primarily about highlighting each and every segment of the industry. SGS International issued this world-renowned certification after carrying out an audit, showing that Thrie Malee Jewellers services are compliant with national and international regulations and standards.

Awarding Officer Chamika Wimalasiri of SGS Sri Lanka, in his message to Thrie Malee Jewellers stated, “On behalf of the International Certification Body, I take pleasure in extending our congratulations to Thrie Malee Jewellers for consistently upgrading its standard in jewellery manufacturing and sales service.”

The driving force behind this great achievement is the chairman of Thrie Malee Jewellers, Kasun Rajasekera and founder of Malee Jewellers Ebert Rajasekera.

Company Chairman Mr. Rajasekera said: “Our success has proven the industry’s appreciation for our design, Karatage and High Quality Jewellery work. This latest award adds further weight to this and provides a seal of approval for its commercial appeal. Our success has also been made possible by the continued improvements being carried out through the feedback received by our customers and trying our best to exceed their expectations.”

The origin of Thrie Malee Jewellers was way back in 1974 when Mr. Ebert Rajasekera with just five craftsmen started a small shop under the banner Malee Jewellers and subsequently in 1992 opened his first Thrie Malee Gold House showroom in Nittambuwa. Thrie Malee Jewellers came into being when his son Kasun Rajasekera took over the business which has been modernised with a state-of-the-art showroom and an efficient staff.
