In AIA’s quest to keep Sri Lankans financially secure, the insurance provider has introduced the AIA Suwa Diriya; a life insurance plan that helps ‘you’ to be adequately armed in the battle against critical illness.

As a life insurance provider, AIA said in a media release that it understands the importance of keeping ‘your’ loved ones protected. That is why financial security for the living is vitally important particularly things don’t always go as planned and unwelcomed things can happen.

AIA said critical illnesses such as, cancer or heart disease, are some of the things ‘we’ all dread and fear. But the fact is that a critical illness can strike anyone, of any age, at any time. And if it does, it can cause a huge financial strain on you and your family.

AIA’s Suwa Diriya is the first -of- its- kind health and life insurance plan in Sri Lanka that provides coverage for the most common critical illnesses; Cancer, Heart Disease, Stroke and Kidney Failure. The cover provides coverage against even early stages of cancer and for certain minor heart conditions, which are usually not covered in a traditional insurance plan for critical illness. It also offers a host of unique features and benefits to ensure you are financially worry free. For example, the ‘Recovery Benefit’, provides a monthly payout and the ‘Premium Waiver Benefit’ allows ‘you’ to focus on ‘your’ recovery rather than paying premiums for the plan. “And if you are fortunate enough to not have to make a claim, you’ll have a ‘No Claim Privilege’ which increases your cover limit. Basically, your critical illness and Life Benefit limits are increased by 10 per cent per year, for every year that you do not make a claim. Your covers will get increased until you reach 150 per cent of your original cover limit or until you make a claim. And in the unfortunate event you pass away, the Life Cover will go to your loved ones,” it said.

Also AIA donates Rs. 100 on behalf of every policy sold this year to the Sri Lanka Cancer Society.
