After almost a decade of cancer engagement projects in Sri Lanka, Photocause, the brainchild of sisters Shanaya and Nyantara Perera launched their first overseas community service project in Melbourne.

Photocause tied up with the ‘La Trobe Business School – Golden Lanyard Initiative’ and 20 award winning photographs focusing on Sri Lankan culture were selected and auctioned to raise funds in December 2019.

Photocause has worked tirelessly to create cancer awareness and raise funds through photographic exhibitions for the Sri Lanka Cancer Society over the past eight years. Shanaya and Nayantara, students of St. Bridget’s Convent have been recognised for their work by the ‘UN Volunteers’, ‘Foundation for Civilian Bravery’ and ‘Princess Diana Foundation’
