Eminem climbs to the top of the charts with ‘Godzilla’

Eminem has taken the UK singles chart No: 1 with ‘Godzilla’ a track from his new surprise album ‘Music To Be Murdered By’. ‘Godzilla’ debuted on the chart straight at the pole position. Eminem has a double celebration as the album ‘Music To Be Murdered By’ also simultaneously debuted at the No: 1 position of the UK albums chart. ‘Godzilla’ features fellow rap artist the late Juice WLD. The song Eminem’s ninth No: 1 where he is the lead artist. The 45 year old counts two – UK No: 1 tracks as featured artist, with a grand total of 11. For Juice WLRD it his first No: 1 and sadly posthumously following his fatal drug overdose last December. ‘Godzilla’ is classic Eminem material which he co produced with D. A.Doman.

Madonna forced  to cancel London concerts

Madonna has been forced to cancel the start of London concerts which was schedule for 27th January. The veteran singer has been suffering with a persistent knee injury from late last year. The 61 year old who is on her Madame X tour had to cancel shows in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Boston in the US, Lisbon in Portugal and more recently London. In all around nine shows have been cancelled. Madonna has taken to social media to apologise to her fans who have bought tickets offering a full refund. She said the concerts have been cancelled on doctor’s orders as her health comes first. Madonna’s Paris concert has been rescheduled for February 20.

P. Diddy wins right to change name

P. Diddy has won the right to change his name. The hip hop/ rap star filed the petition in October 2019 to change his name to Sean Love Combs. His present legal name is Sean John Combs, but has gone by the stage name Puff Daddy and P.Diddy.

Rapper DigDat secures first UK top 10 hit

The rapper DigDat has secured his first UK top 10 hit song as the track ‘Ei8ht Mile’ debuted on the chart at No: 9. The South London artist is supported by rap artist the very popular Aitch. The single ‘Ei8ht Mile’ is also the title track of Dig Dat’s forthcoming debut album which contains 18 tracks. The song ‘Ei8ht Mile’ is influenced by Eminem’s 2002 movie 8 Mile.

Sharon Osbourne thanks fans for supporting Ozzy

Sharon Osbourne has thanked fans for sending good wishes after her husband Ozzy the former Black Sabbath member who was diagnosed with Parkinson disease recently.  Ozzy was spotted at the Grammy Awards last Sunday using a walking stick for support while being accompanied by his daughter Kelly.

BTS microphones sell for $83,200

The South Korean K-pop band BTS is a very popular group in many parts of the world. On 24th January a set of microphones used by the seven member group was sold at a pre Grammy Awards charity event for $83,200. The autographed microphones were originally expected to fetch around $10,000 at the Los Angeles auction. Meanwhile BTS will embark on a world tour in Seoul, South Korea on April 11.

Lewis Capaldi looks to have first single out from second album

Lewis Capaldi is hoping to get the first single off his second album out before the end this year. The singer is riding a wave of popularity following the hit ‘Someone You Loved in 2019. Meanwhile Capaldi’s single ‘Before You Go’ looks set to rebound on the UK chart as it regains popularity.
