Anjala Bandara of St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota was adjudged best batsman at the recently concluded U-15 Prima Champions Cup. The wicket-keeper bat represented Central Province U-15 Cricket XI.

Bandara was outstanding with a tally of 283 runs which included a century and two half centuries from the four innings he played in the tournament.  He made a top score of blistering 157 off 135 balls against Northern province and became the only batsman to reach triple figures during the tournament.

Bandara scored18 runs against Western Province Central, 51 against Western Province North , 157 against Northern Province and 57 against Uva province in his total of 283 runs.
