Exhibition to mark the International Day of Disabled Persons

“Piyawarak Perata” (One Step Forward)- an exhibition to mark the International Day of Disabled Persons will be held on December 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senehasa Education Resource Research & Information Centre, Matha Road, Manning Town.

The exhibition will be organised by the Senehasa Centre- an institution managed by the Defence Ministry. Senehasa aims to identify disabled children from around the island and approach their complications through research in order to socialize them as independent individuals.

The exhibition will feature art and handicraft by disabled children as well as stalls disseminating information on new equipment for children with all types of disabilities as well as vocational training and health care for the community.

Entrance is free and the Senehasa Centre extends an open invitation to special needs teachers, medical students, undergraduates, special needs children and their parents and friends of the community to attend.
