Lankan student elected school captain in Australian High school

Daniru Imeth Lakdinu Jayasuriya, a former student of Nalanda College Colombo was elected as the male school captain (Head Prefect) of St John the Evangelist Catholic High School in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia. Daniru migrated to Australia only in January this year after his G.C.E O/Ls.
School captains are selected by students and teachers’ votes. Daniru is the son of Ranjan Jayasuriya and Subhani Muthuthanthiri.
