One Galle Face mall opens in Colombo
View(s):The Shangri-la group is planning a long term commitment in Sri Lanka with the opening of the One Galle Face mall on Friday. Shangri-la Group CEO Lim Beng Chee said they are in for a long term commitment that would go beyond the opening aimed at boosting the economy and play a part in Sri Lanka’s progress.

The mall has some of the globally renowned brands on offer including the PVR run cinema and a Michelin star restaurant, he said. Economic Reforms Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva said they were committed to eliminating para tarriffs and increase consumption and attracting more investors.
Recognising Shangri-la Hotel to be one of the most prominent hotels he noted that the comeback by Sri Lanka since the Easter bombings clearly shows the reason people keep coming back to the country.
