A love story that goes beyond ethnic and religious barriers, ‘Nim Him’ film scripted and directed by Mitchell Fonseka has completed the production and it is ready to be released from January 2020.

The second film directed by Fonseka who started his directorial venture with ‘Supiri Andare’, has made his second film on a story revolving around a Tamil Hindu girl and a Sinhala young man. The film which was shot in Nuwara Eliya, Kurunegala and Colombo is to be released both in Sinhala and Tamil languages.

The film narrates around Radhika Krishnaswami who is brought up around a traditional Hindu background. Her parents are desperately searching for a partner who would suit their ethnicity, religion and social background. Even Radhika is waiting for her ‘suitable’ partner. She finds many but either they do not suit her family or she doesn’t like them. But one day she comes across someone who is completely different to what she was searching for. And this meeting and relationship is to last for the rest of her life.

The film stars Gangu Roshana, Milinda Madugalla, Janak Premalal, Kumari Munasinghe, Nirosha Thalagala, Nilusha Fernando, W. Jayasiri, Gihan Fernando, Roshan Pilapitiya, Sampath Tennakone, Anura Bandara Rajaguru, Wasantha Vittachchi, Susanga Kahandawala and Saman Dharmawansha.

Jointly presented by Alankara Films and Ama Films, ‘Nim him’ is produced by Gayan Gunawardhena, Saman Dharmawansa, Prince Wickremanayake, Pradeep Herath and Indika Madawala.

Camera and still photography by Indika Bamunuarachchi, editing, colour grading and sound mixing are by Dilan Gunawardena. Make up Gamini Costa, art director Susanga Kahandawarachchi, production executive Gayan Gunawardena, music director Sarath Wickrema and media coordinator of ‘Nim Him’ is Anton J. Fernando.
