Trinity recorded their second outright win the current Under 19 Inter-Schools cricket season with a crushing innings and 47 run win over St. Joseph Vaz Wennappuwa in the match concluded at Asgiriya yesterday. The architects of their win were Uvindu Wimaladharma, Abishek Anandakumar and Ranuda Somaratna which paved the way for the victory.

The foundation was laid by left-arm spinner Uvindu whose seven wicket haul sent the Vazians reeling to a low score of 48 runs. This followed by Abishek cracking 83 for Trinity to make a score of 162 for 5 declared. The icing in the cake came from Ranuda and Abishek who together shared seven wickets to bundle out the Vazians for another low score of 67 runs.

Bandaranayake MV Gampaha recorded a four wicket win against President’s College Kotte at Kotte while the other matches ended in first innings wins for Ananda, St. Benedict’s, St. Peter’s, S. Thomas’ and Taxila Central Horana.
