Elpitiya: Mega interest in mini election

In view of the November 16 presidential poll, there was interest in Friday’s election to the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha in the South. National Election Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya escorted by Special Task Forces personnel, also visited the Elpitiya area after the polls on an inspection tour. The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna won the election.
