Celebrating Roald Dahl at British Council, Kandy

View(s):

The British Council, Kandy library events in July revolved around Roald Dahl. On July 13, it was ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, where the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves talking about their favourite sweets and they had an interesting

‘True or False’ session about Roald Dahl. They also designed their own sweets to present to ‘Willy Wonka’.

On July 20, it was ‘Matilda’ and the kids learnt all about the world and how to increase their knowledge with the books they can find in the library.

On July 27, it was the ‘BFG’. The kids played games around the story and came up with their own stories. They created their own characters that had  personalities and interests that didn’t match the way they looked to learn that appearances are not always what they seem, and not to judge a book by its cover!

All in all it was a wonderful way of getting to know the books by Roald Dahl and undoubtedly we have shaped more Roald Dahl fans.
