“This is my story, This is my song” popular words penned by Fanny J. Crosby, and found in that beautiful hymn – Blessed Assurance, is the theme of the concert by OKTAVE on Saturday, July 13 at St. Mary’s Church, Lauries Road, Bambalapitiya at 7 p.m.  Entrance is free, since this is an offering of peace to one and all.

OKTAVE comprises a group of professionals, some who have their own choirs or direct other choirs, but love to sing for the joy of making music together. Members range from engineers to lawyers to accountants to IT professionals to company directors to music and vocal teachers to name a few. Their primary professions add much to the value of OKTAVE.

What is in store for the audience? There is a varied repertoire from the popular classics like Ave Verum, Panis Angelicus, Laudate Dominum etc to gospel numbers like Above All, My Redeemer Lives and many more favourites.

The audience too gets a chance to exercise their vocal cords and there will be opportunities for them to join OKTAVE in singing some well known pieces of music.

The bonus will be a special guest appearance from Sri Lanka’s most successful and popular act – the de Lanerolle Brothers.

The singers are accompanied on the piano and keyboards by Dilan Angunawela and Neranjan de Silva.

Music lovers of all faiths are invited to come along and be uplifted by the music by OKTAVE on the 13th.
