CAL Research clean sweeps Annual Capital Market Awards 2019
View(s):Capital Alliance Securities (CAL) research team, the securities arm of Sri Lanka’s top investment banking firm, made a clean sweep of awards in all categories competed at the 7th Annual Capital Market Awards organised by the CFA Society Sri Lanka recently.
This year, CAL won an array of accolades including Gold Awards for the Best Research Team, Best Equity Research Report, Best Sector Report and a Bronze Award for the Best Equity Research Report. This is the second consecutive year that CAL won the Gold Award for Best Equity Research Report and Best Sector Report, the company said in a news release.
The selection process was based on a combined evaluation by an expert panel of capital market professionals and an investor feedback survey. The Best Stockbroking Research Team award category recognises the stockbroking firm which offers the overall best research in terms of quality, breadth and investor reach.
Commenting on the accolades, Capital Alliance Securities (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director Harinlal Aturupane, said, “We are delighted to have won so much prominence this year as well. This year saw CAL winning Gold in all categories competed. These awards are very meaningful since this year was marked by uncertainty on the political front. There was also a significant slowdown in the capital market which required our research team to be at the top of their game in understanding market nuances.”
