Within the elegant Mandarin decor of Mainland China on Flower Road, Colombo, amidst crimson and golden fire breathing dragons, new culinary delights were unveiled to give as exotically expanded a sampling of this ancient imperial land as possible. Sure to attract Colombo’s foodies, among the dishes infused with tangy spices and sauces were delicious chicken and red curry prawn dumplings, a savoury, filling Tom Yum soup and Java Grilled Fish. The menu included Chicken Thai Green curry and Lamb with Thai Basil. All this was rounded off with exquisite coconut dumplings with date syrup and honey noodles.

Mainland China, part of a global chain, promises to bring authentic Far Eastern flavours with experienced chefs from all over China and South East Asia.
