It’s festival time in Nuwara Eliya

The hill country summer festival, in Nuwara Eliya, an annual event during this season, began on a high note with the Navy, Army and Police bands along with 56 school bands parading the streets.
The festival, begun by the British during colonial days has become an annual event, drawing people from around the country during the Avurudu holiday season.
