A mental connection: Thommy Ten and Amelia van Tass
Get ready for the magic as Cinnamon Life brings the much-awaited award-winning mentalist duo, the Clairvoyants to Colombo this week. The Austrian duo Amélie van Tass and Thommy Ten will unveil a brand-new full-length show for the first time on Thursday, April 4 at Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre.
Sri Lanka is one of the first destinations of their tour for 2019, which will see them go on to perform in Singapore, USA, Canada and then Europe.
The full-length show of 110 minutes will see Amelie and Thommy perform a series of illusions that will simultaneously surprise and confuse the audience.
Talking about the challenges that they are looking to test in Colombo, Thommy explained that they will attempt to read the minds of all the audience members at the same time. Amelie explained the technical aspect of such challenges exclaiming, “Our acts require us to constantly demonstrate an impossible level of mutual mental connection, which allows us to perform mindreading, remote vision, second sight, precognition, intuition, psychic and supernatural feats.
Thommy said, “We’ve always dreamed of touring the world one day, while sharing our passion with people and helping them to forget about the challenges and difficulties of everyday life for a short while.”
Amelie said they are really looking forward to enchanting Lankan audiences and giving them an evening to remember! “After the show, we would love to meet and get to know some of our loyal Sri Lankan fans,” she added.
The Clairvoyants show is presented by Cinnamon Life as part of the brand’s ongoing effort to bring the best of entertainment to the city.
