New role for Lionel Ritchie with Prince’s Trust
Lionel Richie who is regarded as one of the world’s best selling recording artists of all time has been appointed a new leading role in Prince Charles’ charity The Prince’s Trust.

The 69 year old Richie was appointed Chairman of the Global Ambassadors Group when he met the Prince of Wales on 19th March in Bridgetown, Barbados along with Sir Tom Jones.

Prince Charles started the charity in 1976 to assist disadvantaged British youth, but now plans to take its work global. Lionel Richie has sold over 90 million records worldwide.

Cardi B cashing in on her catchphrases
Rap star Cardi B has taken measures to cash in on her catchphrase. She has decided to trademark her catchphrase “Okurrr” which she uses often in her songs and interviews. Meanwhile 26 year old New York born artist has landed a film role in Hustlers alongside Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu.   

Big Sean explains cancellation of show in 2018
US rap artist Big Sean who cancelled his Unfriendly Reminder tour last year, has given the reason why he had do it. In a series of videos released on social media on 25th March Sean admits he had to seek therapy for mental health issues. Professional help forced the rapper to keep away from music. Big Sean who has collaborated with Kanye West, Justin Bieber etc and had a huge No: 1 hit ‘Feels’ with Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry in 2017, marked his 31st birthday by going public with his mental health problems.

Lewis Capaldi completes a month at the top of the charts
Lewis Capaldi has completed a month at the helm of the UK singles chart with his song ‘Someone You Loved’ scoring four weeks. The current position was helped the surge in streams which was 7.32 million, leading its nearest rival by a million streams. The song is penned by the 22 year old Scottish artist.

Tom Walker’s ‘Just You And I’ heads into the UK charts
Tom Walker’s ‘Just You And I’ propelled to the top of the UK charts from 10 to 4 this week. The dreamy track by the Scottish artist is his second UK top hit following ‘Leave A Light On’ which peaked at 7 in 2017. ‘Just You And I’ was originally an acoustic release in 2017 but it did not make a splash on the chart. The current release was 10 weeks ago, began its chart journey at 97. The song has been growing in popularity since it landed on the chart in late January. Tom Walker is to undertake a tour of the UK in April and May.

Duet by  US singer Lauv and Australian singer Troye Sivan enters the TOP 10
The duet ‘I’m So Tired’ by US singer Lauv and Australian singer Troye Sivan has moved to the UK top 10 from 13 after an eight week chart journey.   The heartbreak track sees the two artists appear on the UK top for the first time.

UK rap artist Dave makesit inot the UK TOP 10

UK rap artist Dave has a song on the UK top 10 this week as well. ‘Location’ surfaced at 8 rising from 11 largely on streaming although it not an official release as yet on the lines of his previous week’s hit ‘Disaster’ featuring J Hus. ‘Location’ features the Nigerian Afro fusion artist Bruna Boy. ‘Location’ is taken from Dave’s album ‘Psychodrama’.
