Ever-popular French comic characters in cinema
The newest computer-animated movie based on Asterix comic book characters created by Goscinnyand Uderzo, ‘Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion’ is now being screened at theatres in Colombo and around the country.
The movie follows, 2014 Asterix: The Mansions of the Gods, co-directed by Alexandre Astier and Louis Clichy, which became a box-office hit in many parts of the world.
A fall during the picking of mistletoe led Druid Getafix to make a decision: He would travel through Gaul with Asterix, Obelix and Pectin in search of a young talented druide to guarantee the future of the village. He must indeed find the one who will take his suite and to whom he will transmit the Secret of the Magic Potion.
A CEL release, ‘Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion’ will be screened at Majstic Colombo, Empire Arcade, Liberty Scope, CCC, Liberty Lite, City Cinema Mt. Lavinia, Savoy, Vista Lite-Jaela, Regal – Gampaha/Nuwara Eliya, Majestic Jaffna and New Imperial – Kurunegala/R’pura/Yatiyanthota.
