We look forward to many such events in the future as we spearhead Sri Lanka’s digital transformation.”

Speaking on the topic of “Digital Transformation in the Cloud Era and Innovation at Google,” Mr. Willis took practical examples to explain how companies from multi-nationals to small enterprises are using Google to better their businesses. He also reiterated on how Google is not only changing the way we do business but also how we live.

Speaking further he elaborated on how digitisation starts with a mindset change and that once companies realise the value of going digital the transformation is simple.

Harshal Pendse Head of the Indian Subcontinent Google Cloud Partnerships & Alliances who spoke on “What’s next with Google Cloud”, illustrated on Google’s ability to build, organize, and operate a huge network of servers and fiber-optic cables with an efficiency and speed that literally is the safest network in the world. He added that although people were skeptic about storing data on the cloud in the old days because of security reasons, today it is the enhanced security itself that prompts people to make the shift.
