Dinuga wins Global Poster Contest

Dinuga de Silva, a 5 year old pre-school student of Little Einsteins Montessori, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka won first place at the World Food Day 2018 Global Poster Contest.

The poster contest is held annually by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to coincide with
World Food Day on October 16. The contest held under the theme “Our Actions are  Our Future.
A Zero Hunger World by 2030 is possible,” received over  8000 entries from 118 countries.

 Dinuga’s poster was captioned  as:
“Fruits and vegetables are eaten by all humans around the world.  Fresh fruits and vegetables can be born by seeds in every country for zero hunger.”

Nina Brandstrup, the FAO Representative to Sri Lanka and the Maldives presented the certificate and prize to Dinuga.
