The Katugastota Antonians seem to be carrying too many guns for their Division II opponents. Yesterday they thrashed the Matale Thomians by an innings and 20 runs. That spinning sensation, left-armer Nimnaka Jayatilleka, who took 7 for 17 second time around, had a match bag of 10 for 64.

Hardly a match goes by without the little left-armer capturing a five-for. Matale skipper Shehan Avandya had a good double, 67 and 5 for 109. For the winners, Asitha Wanninayake top scored with 67.

  •  St. Anthony’s 245 (Asitha Wanninayake 67, Navodya Vijaykumar 49, Theeksha Gunasinghe 31, Thamashana Abeykoon 21, Gihan Ebert 28, Shehan Avandya 5 for 109, Tharanga Rajapakse 3 for 57)
