A surprise birthday party
It was August 25, 2018. It was my birthday. I excitedly woke up to see how my birthday was arranged. But it seemed no special than usual, it was just like a normal day. I asked my mother, “Don’t you know what day it is?” She looked at the calendar and said, “Nothing special, maybe you are going on a school trip?” I was disappointed that she didn’t remember my birthday and thought that she had forgotten because she was too busy with my newborn brother.

I went to my father and asked what the special day was but I didn’t talk more because I knew that my father did not remember it also. I felt so sad and I thought that I was forgotten. It was 6 o’clock when my mother said we would be going to McDonalds to dine in and I should wear coloured clothes. When I went there at last, what a surprise! Everybody was there and they gave me presents and my favourite gas balloons.
It was a lovely surprise birthday!

Examinations
Life is an examination. Isn’t it ironic that we are nervous and anxious to face examinations set on paper whereas we are all heroes in our own battles of life, straightening our shields and swords fearlessly?

Whether we are doing an examination set for us on paper or facing the major examination called life, we are all tested on a few things; talent, skills and strength. The list of our tests or challenges could go on and on endlessly, from family issues to the completion of our studies. Instead of feeling bad about them or pitying ourselves, most of us choose to run this long journey without stopping to rest even for a moment.

We face personal experiences that make us think that no one in this whole wide world would have gone through so much. We learn to adapt ourselves and put on a facade as though it is sunshine all the way. At the end, like any other examination, we get the results.
We learn to become independent, strong-willed and mature.

December
December is one of my most favourite times of the year. Why? Because we celebrate one of my most favourite times of the year which is of course Christmas! Christmas is also known as Christ-mass and we celebrate it on December 25 which was the day Jesus Christ was born. We do lots of things on Christmas like having parties, writing to Santa and opening presents!
Another time I like is the New Year.
We do lots of things on New Year day like lighting sparklers, going to parties and watching fireworks burst into beautiful
colours. This is why I like December so much.

Nature
Nature is God’s precious gift to us. Trees, animals, birds, water and air are all part of nature.
We are all dependent on nature. We can’t live without nature.
Nature makes our life healthy and happy. So we must not go against nature.
People destroy nature in
various ways. They pollute the air. They dump garbage into
water ways. This results in
pollution.

Kite season
It is held in the summer season. Children enjoy this. The children make different types of kites and fly them in the sky. It is celebrated all over the world. Some companies and societies are awarding gifts for kite events. It is a famous event.
The kites are made in different shapes and types. Some of them are snakes, birds, aeroplanes, crowns and flags. They use different textures, colours, shapes and materials when making different types of kites. They are different from one to another. This is one of the wonderful events of the year.

My favourite movie
My favourite movie is
‘Harry Potter’. There are eight ‘Harry Potter’ movies. They are ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, ‘The Chamber of Secrets’, ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’, ‘The Goblet of Fire’, ‘The Order of the Phoenix’, ‘The Half blood Prince’, ‘The Deathly Hallows’
Parts One and Two.
Of all these eight movies, I like ‘Deathly Hallows’ the most. It is a famous movie. It was made by Warner Brothers and is based on the novels by J. K. Rowling.
The main characters are
Harry Potter, Ron Weasley
and Hermione Granger.
I love this movie very much.

I want to be a pilot in the future
When I grow up I want to be a pilot because it is a fun job and easy to do. That’s why there are so many pilots flying around these days. Pilots have to learn to read instruments. I guess they should be able to read maps
too, so they can find their way home if they are lost.
Pilots should be brave so they won’t get scared if it’s foggy and they can’t see, or if a wing or motor falls off. They should stay calm so they will know what to do.
The salary a pilot makes is another thing I like. They make more money than they know what to do with. This is because most people think that flying
the plane is dangerous, except the pilots don’t because they know how easy it is.
I love being a pilot.
