SLINEX 2018, a joint exercise between the Sri Lankan and Indian Navies concluded on a successful note in Trincomalee this week.

The seven day exercise which comprised two phases, — the harbour and sea phases saw the participation of around 1,000 naval personnel from both countries. The wide range of activities performed at SLINEX included; ship manoeuvring exercises, transfer of persons and goods between ships by means of helicopters, Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) operations and communication drills.
