MCA Six-a-Side in full swing
View(s):MAS Unichela ‘B’ (Group ‘A’, Dimo ‘Nexon’ (Group ‘B’), Hayleys Group (Group ‘C’), MAS Unichela ‘A’ (Group ‘D’), Commercial Credit (Group ‘E’), Dimo ‘Strom’ (Group ‘F’) and LB Finance ‘A’ (Group ‘ ‘G’) along with Teejay Lanka (Runners-up from Group ‘E’) advanced to the Tier ‘A’ quarter-finals in the 2nd Citizens Development Business Finance ‘CDB’ Trophy-MCA Open Six-a-Side cricket tournament 2018, which got off on Friday.
The quarter-final matches will be played today at the Colts grounds, commencing at 8.30 a.m. onwards as follows:
QF 1-MAS Unichela ‘B’ vs. Teejay Lanka, QF 2-Dimo ‘Nexon’ vs. LB Finance ‘A’, QF 3-Hayleys Group vs. Dimo ‘Strom’, QF 4-MAS Silueta ‘A’ vs. Commercial Credit.
At the end of the semi-final matches the two finalists will travel to MCA to play the finals.
Sixteen group winners from Tier B booked their berths to play in the pre-quarter finals today at St. Joseph’s College grounds and MCA Grounds. The quater final matches will also be played at the same venues before the semi-finalists from Darley Road will make their way to the MCA Grounds to play the finals.
Pre-quarter final matches scheduled for today are
- Top Half: At St. Joseph’s grounds-HNB ‘B’ vs. fairfirst Insurance, SriLankan Airlines vs. David Peiris Motor Company, HNB Grameen Finance vs. Akbar Bros., A. Baur & Co. vs.MAS Kreeda ‘A’
- Bottom Half: At MCA-McLarens Group vs. Maliban Biscuits ‘A’, HSBC ‘A’ vs. MAS Siluata ‘A’, Amana Bank vs. Allianz Insurance, Pearson Group ‘A’ vs. Maliban Biscuits ‘B’.
