The Endocrine Congress of Sri Lanka 2018 (ESCL 2018) will be held from August 31 to September 2 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo.
The congress is organised by the Sri Lanka College of Endocrinologists in collaboration with the European Association for Study of Diabetes (EASD).
The chief guest will be EASD Vice President Prof. Chantal Mathieu, while speakers from Britain, other European nations, Australia and Asia along with the local faculty will be part of the congress.

The comprehensive academic programme of the congress will focus on the latest developments in diabetes, obesity and endocrine and other metabolic diseases. The Pre-Congress Programme will deal with ‘Type 1 Diabetes’.

Meanwhile, the congress will create a platform for local and foreign scientists to disseminate original research through the scientific abstract competition and display, which has reviewed over 100 abstracts from around the world.

The Endocrine Society established in 1979 has grown in strength and currently functions as the Sri Lanka College of Endocrinologists which is the academic body that provides multi-faceted educational opportunities on diabetes and endocrinology.
