The lasses from Bandarapola MV Matale, Holy Family Convent Kadawata and Buwanekaba MV Maharagama came out on top to annexed the U/19,17 and 15 age group netball titles respectively at the 27th Milo all island schools division ‘B’ (schools having less than 1000 students) netball championship 2018 concluded recently at Bogambara stadium in Kandy.

Bandarapola MV qualified for U/19 and U/17 finals. They had the better of Rathmalvinna MV Balangoda 16-10 in the final to win the U/19 title, while Bandarapola MV who were the U/17 champions last year, could not defend their title when they were outplayed by Holy Family Convent Kadawata 12 – 18 in the U/17 final. Buwanekaba MV Maharagama beat Sujatha Balika MV Kumbiyangoda Matale 22 – 03 to annex the U/15 title.

Tharushi Nethmini (Buwanekaba MV Maharagama), Anjela Perera (Holy Family Convent Kadawata) and Rashini Dimalshika Ariyasena (Bandarapola MV Matale) were adjudged as the most outstanding players in the U/15, U/17 and U/19 age groups in the division ‘B’ competition.
