The Government of India (GoI) will continue to support Diaspora children by providing financial assistance for specific Professional and Non-Professional Undergraduate Courses.

The GoI is implementing a “Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children [SPDC]” since 2006, under which, assistance is provided to Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) to pursue Undergraduate Courses at Indian Universities/Institutes, said a press release from the Indian High Commission.

Under this scheme, many Scholarships are granted for a majority of the Undergraduate Courses conducted in India (except Medical and related courses). The services implemented includes providing support towards their Tuition fee, Admission fee and Post-admission services.

Eligible candidates should submit their applications on the portal directly, by September 30, 2018.
