On the 20th year after introducing Women’s Cricket to Sri Lanka, Palink Cricket Club (PCC) is organising a Boys Junior Cricket tournament from August 8-24, in 3 age groups, Under (U)-11, U-13 and U-15.

PCC’s introduction of Women’s Cricket to Sri Lanka played a major role by producing several National Captains and over 100 Women Cricketers. As a part of their commemoration PCC will play host to Women Cricketers from Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Kuwait, Pakistan and Bangladesh, for a series of training programmes. It is interesting to note that Women Cricketers from the above mentioned countries have taken part in PCC’s domestic tournaments.

The Nepali and Thai Cricketers have arrived in Sri Lanka on scholarships from the Asian Cricket Council, while the Cricketers of the other countries are in the island at their own expense.
