Pop singer Chris Brown has been arrested according reports from the US. The singer was taken in after he had completed his concert in West Palm, Florida. The arrest was connected to an alleged assault of a photographer in 2017. Brown was released immediately after posting bail of $2000.

Sir Paul McCartney is to tour his home country Britain after more than three years. The tour called Freshen Up will take place after the 76 year old ex- Beatle releases his 17 solo studio album ‘Egypt Station’ on 7th September. His tour will first commence on 17th September in Quebec City, Canada. He will give four performances in Canada and then move across to the UK to play in Liverpool his hometown in England on 12th December. His three concerts in the UK will end on 16th December in London. Recently McCartney recorded a Carpool karaoke for James Corden’s The Late Late Show.

Music icon Tina Turner lost her eldest son Craig Turner after the 59 year took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound on July 3 in Studio City, California according US media reports. Tina Turner 78 was at the time in Paris, France attending a fashion show. Tina who retired from the music scene last performed in 2008 and went on the Tina! The 50th Anniversary Tour. She is expected to discuss her son’s death on a documentary which will start filming in the next few weeks. It is expected to cover her long career, heart breaking personal life etc.

A banker who stole £4,500 from the joint account of pop singer Emeli Sande in December 2014, was sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended for 18 months on July 12 in London.

George Ezra has secured a second week at the summit of the UK singles chart with ‘Shotgun’ his debut chart topping song on home ground. ‘Shotgun’ reign is a little different in the second week after new rules in the UK singles chart compilation came into play which includes YouTube streams from Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music.

Ezra’s chart topping song had a combined lead to be at No: 1 with 78,000. His folk rock song is produced by Cam Blackwood.

Drake dominated the UK singles top 10 as he had three songs from his just released album ‘Scorpion’ debut. The highest entry was ‘Don’t Matter To Me’ at No: 3 which features the late Michael Jackson who sings on the chorus. The Jackson section is from a session he recorded in 1983 with Paul Anka.

Two songs which are not official releases but have charted merely on downloads are ‘Nonstop’ and ‘Emotionless’. As the second song ‘Nonstop’ debuted at the No: 4 and ‘Emotionless’ debuted at No: 5 on the UK top 10. There is a curiosity revolving ‘Emotionless’ as it on the song where Drake admits to fathering a son with a former French adult actress.

Maroon 5 manage to get their new release ‘Girls Like You’ to cross over to the UK top 10. The song featuring rapper Cardi B moved from 13 to No:10. It is the fifth track to roll off Maroon 5’s album ‘Red Pill Blues’.
