The National Intermediate Age Group Swimming Championship 2018 came to a close at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex last Saturday in the presence of Olympian and world 50m Back Stroke record holder Liam Tancock.

The British swimming champion was a keen spectator at the meet to see Sri Lankan up and coming swimmers in action which proved that the Sri Lankan talent in swimming is rich.

Yet again Musaeus College, Colombo proved that they are at the helm in schools swimming leading Team Rankings with the highest number of 253 points in the Girls’ setion. They were closely followed by Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo with 248 points.

Sri Lanka Army with a massive 429 points brought to a finish of the long reign of St. Joseph’s College, Colombo in the Boys’ category. The Josephians collected only 234 points to occupy the 2nd spot.
