Buy a Ramadan greeting card and help them see the world
View(s):HelpAge Sri Lanka (HASL) this year too released a large collection of more than200,000 colourful Ramadan greeting cards
The proceeds from sales of the cards will be utilised to perform free cataract surgeries to underprivileged elderly citizens who visit the HelpAge Eye Hospital. The hospital is located at Sinsapa Road, Wellawatte. Colombo 6.
HASL, Executive Director Samantha Liyanawaduge commenting on the programme said considering the pathetic living conditions of very poor senior citizens who need urgent cataract surgeries. HelpAge Eye Hospital performs nearly twenty free surgeries a day with the help of Sri Lanka’s eminent eye surgeons and well qualified nurses.
The proceeds from the sale of greeting cards are also utilized to conduct free mobile eye and medical camps all over the country.
Cards are available at leading book shops in Colombo and outstations and also at supermarkets including Keells, Cargills and Arpico and at HASL Head office at Raththanapitiya in Boralesgamuwa.
