Three filmmakers have joined hands to make a film for the first time in Sri Lanka film history, ‘Her, Him. The Other’ unravels the post war realities in Sri Lanka.

He (an ex-militant videographer for the LTTE) travels from the North in search of HER (a young widow of a government army soldier) in the South to find relief from the pain that disturbed his conscience. Having been raised in a religion that has faith in reincarnation, he (a Sinhala language teacher) tries to deceive his own conscience by refusing to believe the re-birth of a Tamil militant into a Sinhala family witnessed by HIM with his own eyes. One’s hero is the other’s villain. But a mother will lose a son in a war. How many wars …

Music is directed by K Krishna Kumar and Kapila Poogalaarachchi, cinematographers are Channa Deshapriya, M.D. Mahindapala and Eeshit Narain.

Editing of the film is done by Saman Elvitigala, Ravindra Guruge and A. Sreekar Prasad.

Late filmmaker and editor Titus Totawatte was the one who first experimented with a tri-segmented anthology film named ‘Thewatha’ in Sri Lankan cinema. However it was an effort by an individual filmmaker.
